Girl's Body Found; Man Faces Charge Cedar Rapids, Iowa (AP) A resident of the Linn County Care Facility psychiatric unit has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a teen-age girl whose decomposing body was found in the cellar of a vacant house Thursday. Larry, L. McMullin, 20, who police said been an acquaintance of the victim, Shelby Clemons, 18, was picked up at the Care Facility for questioning and later arrested at the Cedar Rapids Police Department. He was taken to the Linn County Jail. Ms.

Clemons' body was found in the cellar of the vacant house by two water department employees. An autopsy indicated that she died of head injuries inflicted with some sort of blunt instrument. Police said Ms. Clemons became acquainted with McMullin while she was a patient at the psychiatric unit about a year ago. Iowa Woman Found Dead in Her Garage 48-year-old woman from rural Missouri Valley, Iowa, was found dead in the garage of her farmhouse Friday night.

She was in parked car with the engine running. Harrison County Sheriff Merle Sass said Janice M. Bertelson apparently died from carbon monoxide poisoning. He said a note was found indicating she had been ill. Sass said the woman, who was divorced, lived about five miles east of Missouri Valley on U.S.
